What Our Students Say

“It’s truly wonderful to connect with people who share the same interests and passions. Language and ethnicity are not barriers to learning and staying connected. I met both newcomers and seasoned professionals who’ve dedicated their lives to poultry. I learned so much from the Aviagen team and guest speakers, whose dedication and service stood out. I’m confident that what I’ve gained will benefit our company greatly.”

Jewelry Maligsa
Production Manager
Bounty Plus Inc, Philippines

“The school is a unique experience. Unlike seminars, which often focus on the commercial side of the industry, the discussions here are much more open, centred on real problems and solutions, as everyone is closely involved in day-to-day operations.”

Noud Baetsen
Quality Manager
Angel Eggs B.V, Netherlands

“We all have different approaches to problems and it is beneficial to learn what others are doing and what is working for someone else. And even if circumstances change, you might start having certain problems, but you have a contact to actually to call up. There are also the notes to look back on that you made over the course of the week.”

The David Butler Award

David Butler and the award named in his honorThe David Butler Award recognises the most promising students of the EMEAA School with a winner chosen for each module. You can find out more in our prospectus and school video.

The award commemorates former Aviagen Global Technical Director David Butler. The star student will have shown the best progress during the course of the school, and will demonstrate outstanding skills of leadership, teamwork, communication, innovation, determination and passion. Above all, like David Butler himself, the winner will be a true “poultry person” who is committed to chickens, farmers, colleagues and the progress of the industry.
