Company further sharpens focus on rapidly developing Asia-Pacific market
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Aviagen®, the world’s leading poultry breeding company, has announced plans to restructure its leadership team in Asia-Pacific to promote a steady demand and dynamic growth for Aviagen’s high-quality broiler breeding stock.
Effective Aug. 1, Mark Wright will be appointed Asia-Pacific business manager. Mark has been with Aviagen for more than nine years and has developed strong relationships with customers and an effective working knowledge of the business by serving as regional technical anager for Asia. Mark will be based out of the Aviagen office in Bangkok.
Bill Souther will assume the role of Asia-Pacific senior advisor to provide strategic advice and support to the business as needed. He has more than 30 years of experience in the broiler breeder industry and has been with Aviagen for 12 years. For the past eight years he has served as senior vice president for Asia and has played a key role in growing Aviagen’s business in the region. In addition to his senior advisory role, he will maintain commercial responsibility for China in order to continue to grow Aviagen’s presence in that complex market.

The new Asia-Pacific leadership team possesses the right experience and insight to guide the strategy and execution of the company’s business objectives in this growing market. They have all demonstrated strong leadership abilities, as well as a deep understanding of the unique needs of customers across the region.
Souther and Wright will both work with Aviagen Asia sales and service teams to meet ever-advancing market needs and support long-term customer success.
